Transfier is one of Romania's toughest triathlons, staged on the iconic Transfagarasan mountain road in Arges county. Athletes swim in Lake Vidraru before climbing the mountain switchbacks by bike and running to the Prometheus statue, choosing between Olympic and Half (70.3) distances.
