Founded in 1792, the Hungarian State Theatre of Cluj is one of the oldest Hungarian-language companies in the world and a member of the Union of the Theatres of Europe. Under director Gábor Tompa it stages internationally touring contemporary productions, performed with Romanian and English surtitles.
