The Argeș state philharmonic (founded 2007) with its own symphony orchestra, anchoring the city's classical scene from the Multifunctional Center and the open-air Gheorghe Zamfir summer theatre in Ștrand Park. Alongside symphonic programs it stages folk, crossover and singer-songwriter evenings.
